It was a big weekend of rugby league for the club with most of the club's teams in action in key fixtures.

Pennine Way  saw a triple-header of matches that commenced with the Under 13's taking on London Solars in the Jundon Junior League semi final for a place in next week's Grand Final. The match proved to be a no-contest with the junior Stags - unbeaten this season - thrashing their North London rivals 72-8

This was followed up by the 'A' team hosting North Herts Crusaders in an East Region fixture. A flucutuating match saw the visitors - who had previously been beaten twice by the Stags - snatching a late 32-26 win.

Finally, Match of the Day in the Southern Conference League was between Hemel and the all-Aussie Hammersmith Hills Hoist. A high quality fixture in which Hemel probably played their best football of the season saw the visitors deserving a 34-20 victory. Man of the Match for Hemel was veteran Barry John Swindells closely followed by debutant winger Finley Morris who stood out with two fine tries.

Away from Pennine Way the Under 16 Golds did best of all the club's teams when they travelled to Brentwood for a place in next Saturday's Grand Final. Trailing 20-12 with 10 minutues to go, the Golds (who are actually an U15 team), stormed back to beat their older and bigger opponents 24-10.

The club's U14's travelled to Elmbridge Eagles seeking to give the Stags a place in all three Grand Finals next Saturday but slipped up at going down 14-4 to the home side
