Hemel Stags played the Toronto Wolfpack in Canada on the 15th July, when the final whistle went the team joined with the local spectators, chatting and signing autographs etc. One of the Toronto fans they spent time with was a young lady called Kendra.

Kendra is a 12 year old girl who is confined to a wheelchair and specialists have diagnosed her with patella alta, crouched gait, lower ectremity contractures, and tronchanter bursitis which is an EXTREMELY painful condition, despite having to cope with all of this she always remains cheerful.

Kendra wanted a photo with the Hemel players and she found a place in the lads hearts, they were captivated by her love of Rugby League and the fact that she never stopped smiling.

When the Hemel players found out that a campaign existed to try and raise some money to help make Kendra's house more accessible for her they got together and decided they would like to help. Every player has donated the same amount of money to the pot and the money that had been collected over the season from indiscretions determined by the "player's court" has been given to the fund instead of its original purpose of funding the player's end of season party!

In all over $250 has been donated by the Hemel Stags players and anyone wanting to donate to this brave girl's fund can find the link at gofundme.com and go to Kendra's Kampaign
